Our school is staffed with fully qualified teachers who have trained in the UK. Many of our staff have worked at the school for a number of years providing continuity and stability. However, we also have a number of staff members who have recently joined us bringing with them experience of recent curriculum development. We have specialist French, Music, PE and Library teachers, a school nurse and qualified nursery assistants.

All our staff are very experienced in working with children who arrive in Brussels from countries other than Britain. Children who speak little or no English are helped to integrate quickly into the school community and make friends. We have a specialist EAL teacher available for those who require intense language teaching.

The skills and experience of our staff assist our Special Educational Needs children and their families to access the UK mainstream curriculum. Our SEN coordinator is highly experienced and is currently working with a small number of children to ensure their specific needs are identified and met.

The school nurse is always available to give advice. She is aware of children with medical conditions (including allergies) and is willing to administer medication children may require whilst at school. We have some children with food allergies and have acted on the advice of the British Anaphylaxis Campaign to make our school as safe as possible for them. For this reason, the school is a "Nut Free Zone".

The school holds In-service Training days each academic year allowing all staff to have training in specific areas of education. This, along with opportunities to travel to other training centres, enables staff to keep abreast of new education practice even though we are based outside the UK.
